Umeda Sky Building is one of Osaka’s representative modern architectural works, designed by Hiroshi Hara and completed in 1993. Its distinctive structure connects two towers at the top with a circular observatory, and it has been recognized internationally as an architectural landmark. Its biggest feature is the outdoor observation area “Sky Walk” at 173m above ground, where you do not just look down from above but actually feel the wind and sounds of the city.
